The Open Hearth was situated on Warley Road. This pub
opened in 1954 and closed in 2017. In 1967 a group called Band of Joy
appeared at this pub, featuring a singer called Robert Plant and a drummer
called John Bonham, later to become legends with Led Zeppelin. |
