The Balloon Inn was situated at 6 Blackfriars Street. Now used as a private residence called Balloon House. Established in 1827 when John Robertson was the landlord,  when it had a parlour, bar and kitchen with a dining room on the first floor. Named to commemorate the first hot air balloon flight in Stamford in 1825.
