Street. This grade-II listed pub
became a Woolworths store following closure in 1961, and later a branch of
New Look. Present by the 1890s
when the publican was George Terry. |

Upper storeys preserved of front
elevation of modern store. Late Cl7. 3 storeys, stuccoed. 3 windows in
moulded stone surrounds, double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Rusticated
quoins and moulded band between 1st and 2nd storeys. Wide projecting eaves
cornice on finely moulded bracket modillions. 3 hipped dormers, Modern shop
front to whole of ground floor. Completely modern interior. |
