The Crooked Billet was situated on Church Lane. This grade-II listed beerhouse is now used as a residential cottage.
 

 
Listed building details:
Former public house, now cottage. Early C18, altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Thatched roof with single raised stone coped gable. 2 yellow brick gable stacks. Single storey and attics. 2 yellow brick gable stacks. Single storey and attics, 3 bay front having central planked door covered by C20 gabled wooden porch. Flanked by single 3 light glazing bar casements. In the roof are 2 similar through eaves window with thatched eyebrows.
