The Packet Inn was situated on Moorhouse Road. I was brought up next to the pub which was closed in the 1950s, we lived in the shop next door, which closed as a shop at the same time, round the back we had the stables for the horses of guests overnight, while next door the buildings were for the coaches to stay. Present by 1904, it is now in private residential use.
