Park Drain Hotel

The Park Drain Hotel was situated on Idle Drain. It was built in 1899 for a coal mine which was never opened. Locally nicknamed Klondyke, this pub closed in the 1990s. and is now used as house/offices. Originally owned by Whitworths of Wath, then John Smiths but was in the free trade by the time it closed.
