The Colgrave Arms was situated at 145 Cann Hall Road and is now closed and
boarded up. The local press says it's going to become a mosque or community
centre. |

This pub was present as a beer house
by 1869. A full licence was obtained in 1886 and the pub was
tied to Savills
Brewery of Stratford, later passing to Charrington’s Brewery of Mile End. It
was a large, community pub which kept its 1950s decor and three-bar
layout until the end. As recently as 2006 it was described as “a
busy pub with a lot of potential”. |
