The Green Gate was situated on Barking Road. This pub became infamous as the scene of a murder in 2010 and was converted to a Tesco Express in 2013.

Jacques Etienne	1973	I worked there as a part time barman. The publican was a master in fiddles of any kinds. The patrons were sometimes a bit rough, but we were young then and I'm sad to learn that this pub has closed.
