The Kingsbridge Arms was situated at 154-156 West Ferry Road.
This was a riverside pub, built in 1800 or just before. In the nineteenth
century it was sometimes alternatively referred to as the Kings Head or the
Kings Arms. It was a Whitbread’s pub in an area where they had very few.
It closed in 2003 and was demolished in 2004. A new building now stands on
the site (see photo below). |
