Chatsworth Arms

The Chatsworth Arms was situated at 271 Chatsworth Road. This Watney's pub was established by 1850, closed in around 2000 and is now a community centre.
The landlord of this pub in the 1970s was a large man who sold the best seafood over the counter at the weekends. The jellied eels, I think, the best I have tasted.
Dave Brown (January 2011)
The name of the large publican was Tom Hitchcock who before becoming a publican ran an haulage company.
This “pub” was very popular during the late 1960s and early 70s with a group that had close links to West Ham United with many players of those times meeting here on Sunday morning after training.
Good beer and even better snacks a great pub with an excellent landlord.
Alex Wilkinson (April 2015)
