I lived here when my parents were landlords. They then took over
The Ruskin Arms. |

I used to work in this pub as a barman cellarman and have
some very good memories of it.
There used to be a ghost in the pub and I felt her presence one Friday
night whilst changing beer in the cellar.
At the time I worked there the Guvnor and his wife were Barry and Bev.
(Can't remember there last name) |

1969-1972 |
My mum and dad, Charlie and Diane Jones, ran the Pigeons
Hotel. I was born upstairs in November 1970. Dad always said it was
haunted and a lady would walk through the wall in the function room |

When the pub hosted cabarets such as Bill Haley I was in
the band for Wheatley Taverns with Dev Douglas. Great days! We backed
acts like Dave and Amos. |
