The Graving Dock Tavern was situated at 353
North Woolwich Road. Publican in 1891 was Joseph Hart. |
|
This pub and a nearby cafe (Georges Diner) closed in 2006. A graving dock
was a dock used for work on ship's hulls. |

This pub was present by 1867 and was rebuilt by Watney’s Brewery in 1919 as
an ‘Improved Public House’ at a then huge cost of £19,900. It was rebuilt
again in 1960 as it appears in the photograph, and demolished by January
2010. |
