The Sir Winston Churchill was situated at 200 Hoe Street, opening in the 1990s, but closing shortly afterwards when the whole block was demolished for redevelopment.

This pub opened as the Market Trader in 1996, in former commercial premises, being re-named the Sir Winston Churchill in 1999 after a brief closure.  Final closure for redevelopment came in 2004, although the site still remains empty.
