The White Hart closed in 2007 and was
turned into a champagne bar called Funky Mojoes. This, in turn, closed in
2014 and is now used as the Woodford restaurant. |

I worked behind the Public bar when George and Dot Lipman ran the pub.
Whilst daughter in law Marion worked behind the saloon bar. Dot had
standard menu's for lunch - eggs, chips and beans and all variants on
that theme, shepherds pie and tosti's. I took home £10 each week but was
given food & sometimes a bed when an evening got late especially when
police officers decided to overstay their welcome after closing time! |
