Golden Eagle

Date of photo: 2013

The Golden Eagle was situated at 56 Cleveland Way. This pub was demolished and replaced by the flats in the above photo in 2000.
The place you have listed as the Golden Eagle was later known as both the Peasant's Revolt and Guvners. I used to work just along the road at the junction with Whitechapel Rd and we used to pop in to the Golden Eagle lunchtimes and after work. In fact, I'm fairly sure my boss used to keep them in business almost single-handedly!
