The Old Rose was situated at 128 The Highway.
This pub was established by 1839 and the name has alternated
between ‘Rose’ and ‘Old Rose’ over the years. It was a Truman’s Brewery pub
and it closed in early 2011. Publican during the 1940s was Gerald
Poole. |
