The Old Blue Anchor was situated at 133 Whitechapel Road. This pub closed c2000 and is now used as a bar/restaurant.
The owners of the Indo London (formerly the Old Blue Anchor) in Whitechapel Road (E1 1DT) asked Tower Hamlets Council for a ‘certificate of Lawfulness’ for a change of use to Class E but this was refused. It has been reported that the pub has been used as a shop since April [2021] at least.
