Bricklayers Arms

The Bricklayers Arms was situated at 34 Settles Street. This pub was established by 1802 and closed before the 1920s, I think in around 1911.  The premises are today in use as a grocers’ store.  Naturally for a Whitechapel pub, it has a ‘Jack the Ripper’ association – in this case being one of the last places victim Elizabeth Stride was seen before her murder.
