The Prince Of Wales was situated at 59 Barnet
Grove.
This pub was present by 1866. The 1900 licensee was Felix Loughlin.
Already the local parish treasurer, in 1900 he became the first Mayor of the
London Borough of Bethnal Green (now incorporated into Tower Hamlets). By
the 1980s this was a free house, and it closed in 1995 for conversion to
private residential use. |
