The Princess Alice was situated at 9
Allas Road. This pub was present as The Princess Of Wales from c1872. It was
renamed The Princess Alice following the Thames river disaster in 1878 where
a paddle steamer of the same name sank with the loss of over 600 lives. Now
demolished along with the rest of the street. |
