This pub was present by 1818. It was
a Truman’s Brewery pub and was best known in its later
years for the attractive internal wall tiles, which depicted “Club Row in
the Olden Times”. The pub closed in 1991 and was used for a while as a
hostel. It is now in retail use. Known as The Stick Of Rock at time of
closure. |

This pub has now reopened. |
