Old Ford Tavern

The Old Ford Tavern was situated at 393 Old Ford Road. This was a Charrington’s Brewery pub, established as the Railway Tavern by 1879, beside a now-lost railway line. It took its name from the Old Ford railway station, located on the other side of Old Ford Road, the facade of which was still there in the mid 1950s.  It became a free house in the early 1980s and was renamed the Old Ford Tavern.  The pub closed and was converted to residential use in 2001.
