The Golfer was situated on Woolwich Manor Way and has now been demolished and replaced by the flats in the above photo.
This was originally the clubhouse of Beckton FC but became a pub. The football club folded in 1997 and the ground was used for a golf driving range. The site was sold off for housing and the pub demolished in 2003. - Colin Price
