The Brownlow Arms was situated at 10 Scriven
Street.
This was a Charrington’s Brewery pub, present by 1841 and closed in 2000 for
conversion to flats. By 2006, the former pub had been demolished, with
flats subsequently built on the site. |

My great great grandad was longest standing pub
landlord...Wilkins...my dad had a tot of whiskey everyday before school. Dad
remembers a live monkey being in the bar. |
