The historic name of this pub was the Lamb.
It was present before 1839 and for much of the twentieth century it often
went by the name ‘Rose’s’, a reference to the fact that it was managed by
the Edward John Rose & Co chain. It was a free house by the 1980s and one
of the outlets for the local Godson’s Brewery, and known at the time for
live jazz. In 1990 it traded for a short time as the Flock
& Firkin then became the Village
at Dalston in 1991. By 2006 it
had been converted for use as a club, under the name Bar
512. |
