Lord Duncan

The Lord Duncan was situated at 36 Broadway Market. This pub was present by 1861 and survived until the late 1960s.  It became a betting shop and is now used as a hairdressers.

The publicans in 1937 were my parents, Archibald and Elizabeth Greatorex. I was born in the first floor room above the corner door on November 3rd 1937. I have two sisters, Vera and Betty, who were living there when I was born. Archibald and Betty left in 1939 and took the Earl Of Warwick, 36 Golborne Road, SW10, a Watney Combe and Reid's pub.
