The Lord Stanley was situated at 136 Sandringham Road. This pub is now in residential use.

Just to say this pub is not in resi use.  We have lived very near it for 16 years and it has actually been used as a film studio for close to 20 years – known as The Roost.  It is also a wedding and party venue at the weekends.  http://theroost.co.uk/l1ce6njoa1trjikjg2gzaddudwqvdx Some pretty famous names have been spotted filming here – Colin Firth, Dannii Mynogue, Cameron Diaz, James Nesbitt, Oasis, Sara Cox and many more.  Everything from big screen movies, music videos, TV series to magazine and catalogue photo shoots. Of course it is a shame it is no longer a pub, but it does retain all the original spaces inside and hasn’t been insensitively subdivided as so often is the case.   It was closed down two decades ago as it is situated next to the former Dalston front line, where there were riots at the time as the more famous Brixton riots.  It was an old boozer with a lot of social issues and tensions.
