The Norfolk Arms was situated at 49 Cecilia
Road.
TThis
pub was established by 1866 and was a bustling market pub, standing adjacent
to Ridley Road Market. In the 1970s to 1990s it was leased by Young’s
Brewery of Wandsworth, a rare East London outlet for that brewery’s beers.
By 1991 it had become a free house. It closed and was demolished in 2002.
Now replaced by an apartment block. |

My mum used to be a cleaner in this pub, the people that used to run it
were John Barrymore, cant remember his wife's name but they had two
children Christine and Susan, I went to both of their weddings. |
