The Frampton Arms was situated at 47 Well Street, Hackney.
 
This Courage Brewery pub was present on Well Street by 1861.  It had associations with 1960s gangland troubles and later was well known as an openly gay pub at a time when most remained undercover.  It closed in 2002 and was demolished by 2010 (see site in photo below).

Denise Piper 1960s My Aunty and Uncle,.Osna and Albert Piper, owned this pub. I have many happy childhood memories of this place. So sad its gone.
