The Rising Sun was situated at 226 Morning Lane.
This was a Whitbread Brewery pub, present in Morning Lane by 1844.  In 1994 it was renamed Bournes and it also traded as Retreat before its closure in 1999, subsequent demolition. and replacement with an office block.
