The Bull & Mouth was a coaching inn
that dated from before the Great Fire of 1666. It was rebuilt as the Queen’s
Hotel in 1830, demolished in 1888 and replaced by post office buildings.
Situated at 1 St Martins Le-Grand, where it
is commemorated by a blue City of London plaque. The inn was easily
identified by the architectural sculpture on its exterior. The yard to the
inn was painted by George Shepherd in 1817. |
