The Old Dick Whittington was situated at 24
Cloth Fair. This beerhouse opened in 1846 in a 16th century timber framed
house. The Corporation of London acquired the building in 1916 in order to
create a new thoroughfare from Long Lane to Aldersgate and it was
subsequently demolished. Also known as The Old Dick. |
