The Red Lion was situated at 42 Northampton Road. This pub was present as the Red Lion
by 1832. It was a Whitbread house that went through many name changes in its
latter years. The name changed to Thomas
Wethered in around
1987-88. Has since been Leonards
Bar, Clerk
& Well, Oriental
Spice and CircleČ.
It was closed by May 2009 and in early
2010 reopened as a restaurant. |

The restaurant has, in turn,
closed as of 30th October 2012. |
