The Victoria

The Victoria was situated at 25 Charterhouse Street. Now demolished and replaced by the office block in the photo below.
 
This pub was closed and demolished in the early 1990s when the block it was part of was redeveloped. It was an Ind Coope pub and had a licence to open at 5am as it was close to Smithfield Market. I only drank in there the once in 1989, after a night shift at Mount Pleasant Post Office; some of the customers were advertising executives carrying on from the previous night's Christmas Party. When I next went past it was closed and boarded up.
