Coopers Arms

The Coopers Arms was situated at 1 Silver Street, at the junction with Monkwell Street, neither of which survive.  The pub survived until at least 1931; the area was heavily bombed in 1940 which may be the cause. William Shakespeare stayed here from 1601 to 1606.
