Crown & Anchor

The Crown & Anchor was situated at 67
Paul Street, at the junction with Leonard Street. It was a Bass Worthington
pub and on Friday 4 March 1955 it hosted a fund raising dinner for Oswald
Mosley's Union Movement. The publicity for the event gave the pub's address
as Leonard Street, an understandable error as it was on the corner. An
unused office block called Development House, 56-64 Leonard Street, now
stands on the site. |
