The Hand Pump was situated at 185 Bishopsgate. This pub closed in the late 1980s as part of the Liverpool Street train station / Broadgate development.

I remember this pub well for its very colourful façade. It was a fine old pub, popular with commuters. I work in the City and am a railway enthusiast with a special interest in the North London Railway, whose former station at Shoreditch is a few hundred yard to the north of the Hand Pump (and is itself a bar nowadays!) so knew the area well in those days.
