The Last & First was situated within Liverpool Street Station. This pub closed in 2009 and is now used as a Starbucks.

A great little pub in its day.  Hidden behind the escalator and most station users didn’t even know it existed. It used to smell a bit inside and you had to get a key to use the toilets. I used to enjoy sitting at the tables outside on the station concourse after work and watch the world go by.  I think the death knell for this pub was caused by the station upgrading it’s pa system to one 4 times as loud as the old one, which meant it was too painful on the ears to sit there anymore.  Big shame it closed and a big mistake by Liverpool Street station.
