The Podium

The Podium was situated at 1 St Alphage High Walk. This pub was closed in the mid to late 2000s and has now been demolished to make way for the London Wall Place development.

My husband Gary set up a summer darts league here in the 80’s, he played stock exchange league darts here and realised there was a gap in the market so with the help of the manager, he set up a summer dart league, of two divisions. We held our wedding reception at the pub, sept 14 1985 and Roger and sue, they ran the pub at the time did us proud. There is a photo of us in a heap in the floor, staged I might add, which matched the couple on our wedding cake. We live in Surrey so our guests were brought by coach- then they realised why we chose the venue. We are still in contact with them now
