The Cow & Calf was situated at 27-29 Eastcheap. This pub was present by 1839 and was rebuilt in grand style in 1893.  By 1922 it had been renamed the Bodega – part of an early example of a London Pub Chain. It survived until at least 1952 and is now in commercial use.
