1950s |
Four of us who worked at Lloyds
Register in the late 1950s used to eat at the George on Fridays (pay
day) as a special treat and saved up our luncheon vouchers. For the rest
of the week we lunched at the Three Tuns, where we could get a
substantial meal for three shillings (15p) |
