The Mitre Tavern was situated at 38 Fish Street
Hill. This pub closed in the 1980s. |
From the 1983 Camra guide: 'Scottish & Newcastle. Youngers
PA, Youngers No3. Comfortable
one bar pub replete with pictures of hunting scenes. It is reputed that a
pub has been on the site since 1638; and it is thought that the building
that was there in 1668 was the second to be destroyed in the Fire of London' |
