I was a member of staff end 1970 into 1971 -fifty-two years ago. I
worked with the publican's aged mother in the public bar at the back of
the pub. She was a sweety. Sadly, I don't remember their names. There
was a passageway along side of the pub from Crown Lane through to Chase
Side. You could come into the public bar from there. I was there when
the decimal change took place. Challenging with the two different types
of money in the register. |
