The Rising Sun was situated at 7 Chase Side. Previously known as The Maze Inn, this pub was known as The Sun at time of closure.

Demolished without planning permission circa 13th July 2019. Reported to Enfield Planning Enforcement 15th July 2019. Early indications are that pub may be required to be rebuilt.

Name Dates Comments Suzy Stewart Dubot 1970/1971 I was a member of staff end 1970 into 1971 -fifty-two years ago. I worked with the publican's aged mother in the public bar at the back of the pub. She was a sweety. Sadly, I don't remember their names. There was a passageway along side of the pub from Crown Lane through to Chase Side. You could come into the public bar from there. I was there when the decimal change took place. Challenging with the two different types of money in the register.
