The Agricultural Hotel was situated at
13 Liverpool Road.
Now used a jazz and blues bar known as Round Midnight. |

This pub reopened in 2016 as The Islington Town House. |

I used to be
a live in barmaid there in 1982. It was mainly used by people at Angel
market at that time. I was told by a skinhead customer it was the only
remaining pub in Islington for National Front as they’d been banned from all
other pubs around. I was advised if a fight started inside the pub, not to
try and stop it but to duck down to avoid flying glasses. However throughout
my time there, no fights occurred. I do remember Michael Jackson’s “Billy
Jean” being constantly on juke box. Still one of my favourite tunes. Many
girls drank snakebites ( lager, cider, and black currant). |
