The De Beauvoir Arms was situated at 28 Stamford Road. This pub was latterly called the Trolley Stop, and featured an in-house theatre.  It closed in 2004 and has now been converted to residential use.

Rupert 1992/2000 I was a regular here during the 90s when it was called the Trolley Stop. My band played here several times - good back room. That pub along with the Dog & Dumplings on Southgate Road were our two main local music venues. The Dog was formerly the Jolly Farmer's and subsequently The Northgate - and is now, ironically, the De Beauvoir Arms.
Gerry Ranson 1994/2004 One of the last pubs in the area to feature live music most nights. A ridiculously popular quiz night too. Landlord John McCarthy was one of the kindest landlords I ever knew, and a Dalston legend. Legendary lock-ins. If a cop car stopped outside, we'd all have to pile into the flat upstairs!
Mick 1990s Loved it, round pool table, Erin behind the bar, lock in, Juice bar next door, bands in back, Tracy the Scottish manager, happy days
