The City Arms was originally built as an hotel
to cater for dealer's in the livestock trade travelling to London to attend
The Metropolitan cattle market. Built around the time of the construction of
the market (opened by Prince Albert in 1855), the building along with it's
sister hotel a few hundred yards along the road, became flats, Queens and
City Mansions. |
