I was surprised to see that The
Copenhagen pub in Camden Road had been demolished, We had just come down
from Scotland and the 5 of us lived in Camden Road, the guys were all around
21 years old and came to London after we finished our apprenticeships, we
watched for months when it was getting built not knowing what the building
was going to be, it was brilliant when we knew it was going to be a pub, we
were there on the opening night and used it as our local until we left
Camden and moved on, I am the only one left living in London but I have fond
memories of the great nights we had there. I think it was a Inde Coope pub
great staff lovely girls behind the bar, now i'm 73 and living in
Hammersmith and I have decided to use my freedom pass and go visit the area
