White Horse Hotel

The Tollington was situated at 36 Market Road. Latterly known as The Gin Palace, it has now been converted to flats.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know what happened to the memorabilia that was is the White Horse Public House in Market Road, before it was revamped as the Gin Palace.

There was a picture in the White Horse of my Husband’s grandfather, he was a cattle dealer between the wars, and was credited with importing the largest bullock ever into the UK at that time, and the picture was a sepia one and it was a dealer, standing next to the bullock with a ring through its nose and rope through the ring.   His name was Charles Eley  and he was wearing a smock.   Only my husband would like a copy of it. As you are probably aware there were several pubs in this small area of London that were associated with the cattle trade as it was the area of the old Caledonian Cattle Market.
