Rock and roll on a Friday night in the hall at the rear
of the pub. Billy Brooks, Tony Gower, Tony (smudger) Smith, etc. All
good mates. Where have all the good times gone? |

late 1950s/1960s |
Had to walk through the pub to get to the outside hall,
not allowed to stop because too young. I was still at Higher Grade
school. Good 1950s type rock and roll groups on a Friday evening. Also
known as the Shoestring Club. |
