I was born here. It was the most
successful jazz venue ever and was the birth place of punk rock. |

I was a customer and am wondering
if there is a list of regular members of the big band , especially the
big swinging drummer who I later saw in Nottingham. I have only today
discovered the fate of the pub after looking at my Jazz at the Tally Ho
LP and am saddened by it. |

1960s/1970s |
The
drummer of the jazz band was Martin Drew, who later became Oscar
Peterson's drummer, following in the footsteps of the great Louie
Bellson. |
